The Research Division is very active under the leadership of our two fellowship-trained research directors, Theodore Bania, MD and David Newman, MD. Dr. Bania specializes in basic science research and toxicology, and directs a basic science and animal laboratory supported by the ED; and Dr. Newman has completed a fellowship in clinical research.
