Curriculum

The core curriculum incorporates both traditional text book learning and current, relevant medical literature to give residents a comprehensive education in emergency medicine. 

Tintinalli's Emergency Medicine: A Comprehensive Study Guide is the text book used and is covered in its entirety twice during the 3 year period.  Specific chapters are assigned on a weekly basis.  In addition to the the text reading, relevant articles from the medical literature are assigned.

In the first hour of Wednesday conference, residents assemble into small groups led by the senior residents and the Tintinalli reading, questions, and articles are discussed.
