John D. Cahill, MDAttending Physician Bio Dr. Cahill is an attending in Emergency Medicine and Infectious Disease at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center in Manhattan, New York. There he is Co-Director of Tropical & Travel Medicine Services and the co-founder director of the Global Health Fellowship. He is Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, Adjunct Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Brown University, and Senior Lecturer for the Department of International Health and Tropical Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He has worked as a specialist in international health and emerging infectious diseases in many parts of the world: Africa, South East Asia, South & Central America, and Europe. He is Executive Director for The Center For Global Collaboration & Health Initiatives, New York City West Site Director for the Center for Disease Control's Geo-Sentinel Surveillance Project, Medical Director of the New York Philharmonic, and consultant to many organisations including the United Nations. He has published several textbooks and numerous articles. Dr. Cahill has been voted one of the best Doctors in New York six years in a row by New York Magazine. |
